Our business trainer ensures all new recruits are fully versed in both our sustainable practices and how team members can contribute from home or via their commute.

There are differing ways in which a programme can be considered sustainable.

To help avoid over-tourism and the strain on local services, JacTravel can help you promote destinations that may be lesser well-known but can still offer unforgettable experiences for your guests.
Aside from coaching, a programme could encourage the use of more public transport, the use of centrally located hotels to limit journey times as well as the promotion of activities within walking distance of the hotel base.
For FIT programmes, electric vehicle hire is becoming more practical and less price prohibitive.
More and more of our hotel and B&B suppliers are committing to sustainable practices and this number is increasing by the day. Our parent company, WebBeds, has announced a partnership with BeCause which will help us advise our clients of the credentials of each property.
Using restaurants that source their products very locally can be an advantage as well as vegan and vegetarian restaurants (or options on menus) that are becoming more popular.

Aside from staying local where possible, JacTravel can help advise of activities that have sustainable credentials.
Workshops with local artisans, meeting the locals and lesser-known experiences are ideal as they boost the local economy.
Using new or lesser-known entrances likewise helps to spread the visitor footprint.
The use of local guides is paramount – so choosing a step-on guide and specific themed city tours could be considered sustainable but likewise one guide fulfilling several tours and visits would limit carbon consumption.
