January is a great time to hit the shops when visiting Britain thanks to end of season sales and a lower footfall. Today we are sharing our favourite shopping trips that we think your clients will love. All these locations can be added onto a bespoke tour to create the perfect itinerary.

The Victoria Quarter, Leeds, one of the best shopping trips.

Leeds

Victoria Leeds is a Victorian style shopping arcade where you can find the likes of luxury candle brand Neom and jewellery brand Astrid & Miyu. For unique vendors you won’t find on the high street head to historic landmark the Corn Exchange. You can visit Leeds as part of our Heart of England itinerary.

Brighton

What once was a 16th century fishing village, The Lanes in Brighton is now a labyrinth of narrow alleyways and small squares where you will find a wide range of independent shops including antiques, vintage and homeware alongside colourful street art and lively bars. You can visit Brighton as part of our Culinary Tour of South England.

Manchester

The Trafford Centre is a huge shopping destination with over 200 stores! Explore British luxury department stores Selfridges or Harvey Nichols for a treat. For vintage records, quirky stationery and fresh flowers head to the bohemian Northern Quarter. Manchester makes a great city break or can be added into a longer itinerary.

Oxford

Head to Little Clarendon Street for designer boutiques and health food shops. When you are ready for a rest, we recommend a stop in The Oxford Wine Cafe. Not far from the city you will find Bicester Village with more than 160 luxury brands at discounted prices including Moncler and Gucci.

Ashton Lane, one of the best shopping trips in Glasgow

Glasgow

Glasgow’s leafy West End is filled with quirky shops selling antiques, vintage clothing, homeware, crafts and records. We love Valhalla’s Goat for artisanal wines and local beer and we recommend fuelling your shopping with a Loop & Scoop Gelato. Enjoy a Glasgow city break or experience it alongside seeing more of Scotland.

London

For high end brands, no trip is complete without a visit to the iconic luxury department store, Harrods. For something more unique try Coal Drops Yard in Kings Cross where you will find independent and international brands all with a focus on quality. You can visit London with our 4-day city break.
